Winter Steelhead Clackamas River

Winter Steelhead fishing in mid January is well underway. River conditions are ideal now that the freezing cold and snow are gone. Fished yesterday with brother Gary and managed to hook eight fish. Kept two brooder and one Eagle Creek fish. Released two nice native fish at the boat and three quite some distance from the boat, (gary lost them not me!) Winter Steelhead fishing is not for everyone but if you dress properly you can experience the thrill of "fish on." Fishing from now until the end of February should be good on the Clackamas if the weather cooperates. If you would like to try this winter sport call me and book a trip.
