More thoughts on buoy 10 fishing

Here are some thoughts about expectations for fishing success at buoy 10 for the 2005 season. The Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife estimates the Chinook Salmon return into the Columbia at 671,5oo and the Coho return at 206,400. Not as strong as past years but still a lot of fish by any standard. If you enjoy sport fishing I urge you to give this fishery a try. If you use your own craft be advised this area can be hazardous at times. Big water, limited visibility at times, commercial traffic, strong tides and many, many small craft will test your skill and equipment. If you are inexperienced I advise you to hire a reputable guide and let him handle all the technical stuff. Either way don't miss out on this fishery it's a hoot!
